Three “T”s for Triumphant Living

Comments Off on Three “T”s for Triumphant Living 23 October 2014

A lot of people are willing to be mediocre. They have no ambition and no desire to improve their position in life. It’s not a matter of humility. It is a matter of indifference. It is total disinterest. It is getting by. It is slothful and sluggish. So, what does it take to shake one from a life of lethargy and into a life of achievement?

We make many decisions each day of our lives. Sometimes we say, “Yes.” Sometimes we say, “No.” There is a time to use each one. For example, saying, “No,” to temptation is commanded in Scripture. Saying, “Yes,” to the will of God for your life is wise!

These are three familiar words we learned as children that still apply in our youth and adulthood. They offer us constructive counsel for life’s relationships and responsibilities.

A-3 – Power and Possibilities

Comments Off on A-3 – Power and Possibilities 26 September 2014

Two things to think of today: power and possibilities! You have been endowed like all of the people God has created. Sometimes we think we are insignificant, second-rate, unimportant, out-classed. That is never so, but we can believe it to be so. That is self-defeating. God has given you power, and He has designed you with some incredible possibilities of things He wants to do through you.

A-1 “I’s” You Can Magnify

Comments Off on A-1 “I’s” You Can Magnify 12 September 2014

We often talk about the need to de-emphasize the “I” in our lives. It is important to learn to live for others and not just for self. We remind one another that, “There is no ‘I’ in team.” All of that is good because it keeps us from thinking we are the center of all that is happening. It reminds us that it is not all up to or for us. Jesus, our greatest Example of how to live, taught us the importance of self-sacrifice and selfless living! In the next couple of moments let me challenge you to think of…

363 – FORGING THROUGH FAILURE!

Comments Off on 363 – FORGING THROUGH FAILURE! 15 August 2014

Failure is a part of life. It is one of those things we encounter along our pathways that is inevitable. We cannot avoid it! If we attempt anything worthy in our lives we will encounter it. Each of us fails at some time in our lives. There are no exceptions. The psalmist said, “Don’t look to men for help; their greatest leaders fail” (Ps. 146:3 LB). I’ve had to work my way through failures throughout my lifetime. I have seen individuals and institutions, even churches, have to work their way through failures and on to success. I’ve also seen some of those give up and give in and become failures instead of forging through it. In fact, one of the key ingredients of success is failure. Namely, how we respond to it. Here I want to challenge each reader, individual or collection of individuals, to decide today to forge through the failure you are struggling with!

“Redeemed”

The painting in my logo is by an artist named Kelly O'Neill.

If you appreciate excellence in art and are captivated by works that grip your emotions and proclaim the remarkable truths of God’s Word, you will want to know more about the very compelling art piece that is part of my ministry logo.

Kelly O’Neill is a remarkable young artist who very masterfully depicts the compassion, grace, and redeeming love of Jesus Christ in her painting, “Redeemed.” No painting has so grabbed my emotions and stirred my gratitude to Christ for His redeeming love as this one. Technically unparalleled, inspired, heart-stirring, and mind captivating are words I used upon seeing it for the first time.

Getting to know Kelly and the background of her wonderful work have served as great motivators as I launch out on a new ministry path in my own life. Kelly is also the developer of my website.

I commend her and her work to you and encourage you to visit her website www.TheArtistOfLife.com
