One Secret of Success

Comments Off on One Secret of Success 09 October 2014

Have you tried to make a sale and failed? Have you tried to talk with your spouse about improving your marriage and failed? Have you tried to find a job and failed? Have you tried to talk with a friend about eternal life and failed?

Each of us faces moments of failure in critical parts of our lives. The question is not whether we will fail, but how we will react when we do. So, yesterday you failed in something, what can you do today?

Paul Harvey was asked the secret to his great success in broadcasting. He said, “I get up when I fall down.” That is one secret of success.

We all fall down. I suggested a few ways already. You can write in your own as you think of this secret of success. The question is what is your response to falling down, failing, whatever you want to call it?

Falling down and failing are a part of living and growing. You can stay in your fallen and failing position or you can rise, by the grace of God, to try again. Anyone can rise a time or two, But, the real winners are those who fail and come back time after time, after time. James reminded us in his remarks of wisdom,  “Take the old prophets as your mentors. They put up with anything, went through everything, and never once quit, all the time honoring God” (James 5:10 The Message). Perhaps today, you need to get up and try again. There is no shame in failure unless it becomes habitual. The choice is yours, lie there or get back up! Today is your day to get back up!

“Redeemed”

The painting in my logo is by an artist named Kelly O'Neill.

If you appreciate excellence in art and are captivated by works that grip your emotions and proclaim the remarkable truths of God’s Word, you will want to know more about the very compelling art piece that is part of my ministry logo.

Kelly O’Neill is a remarkable young artist who very masterfully depicts the compassion, grace, and redeeming love of Jesus Christ in her painting, “Redeemed.” No painting has so grabbed my emotions and stirred my gratitude to Christ for His redeeming love as this one. Technically unparalleled, inspired, heart-stirring, and mind captivating are words I used upon seeing it for the first time.

Getting to know Kelly and the background of her wonderful work have served as great motivators as I launch out on a new ministry path in my own life. Kelly is also the developer of my website.

I commend her and her work to you and encourage you to visit her website www.TheArtistOfLife.com
